After almost 4 years of project, on 13 November 2019, we got the opportunity to meet with the Directorate-General for Health and Human Safety (DG SANT) in Brussels.
The Administration was represented by Ms. Zamora Escribano, Eva María, -Head of Unit-; D. S. Phillips, -SNE-; D.A.-E. FUESSEL, -Deputy Head of Unit-; D. M. KLEMENCIC, -Policy Officer_Legislative officer-. On the other hand, the aviation sector was represented by different representatives of the organizations IATA, KLM and the LIFE Zero Cabin Waste project, in this case representatives from Iberia and Gate Gourmet.
The meeting was a first contact in which we presented the problems we are facing due to the restrictive legislation on international flight waste, which is hindering the granting of the authorization for the alternative method.
