On July 15, the paper Airplane cabin waste characterization: knowing the waste for sustainable management and future recommendations was published in the Waste Management magazine.
The person responsible of writing the paper was Gonzalo Blanca, researcher at ESCI – UPF, with the support of the different partners involved in the project.
This is the second paper published in the framework of the LIFE Zero Cabin Waste Project. The paper focuses on the characterizations made in the initial phase of the project that allowed to know in depth the composition of the different waste streams generated in the airplanes and how this knowledge allows to make decisions to improve the management of this waste.
