From May 26 to 30, 2019 the SETAC Europe 29th Annual Meeting symposium is held in Helsinki under the motto One Environment. One Health. Sustainable Societies.
SETAC (Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry) is a non-profit organization whose main objective is to support the development of practices for protection, enhancement and management of sustainable environmental quality and ecosystem integrity. In addition, it encourage interactions among environmental scientists and it is a forum for communication among different professionals (administration, companies and academic institutions) and disseminate information on environmental toxicology and chemistry.
Within the program of this 29th edition, it is foreseen the presentation of a study resulting from data obtained in LIFE ZCW. Specifically, the results of the life cycle analyses that measures the impact derived from the use of different types of cutlery in air catering.
The study entitled “Is the single-use plastic ban by EU universally good? The case of airline catering” will be presented by Pere Fullana, Head of the UNESCO Chair of the Life Cycle and Climate Change at ESCI-UPF. The authors of the study are Gonzalo Blanca-Alcubilla, Marc Delgado-Aguilar, Alba Bala, Nieves de Castro, Rita Puig and Pere Fullana-i-Palmer.
