Everyday, there are thousands of flights which offer catering services to attend the needs and demands of the passengers. This service generates a CO2 impact into the environment, but thanks to the life cycle analysis of the materials and the activities that make them up it, is possible to know the carbon footprint associated with the waste generation per passenger and flight.
In the ZCW Project, we have developed a CO2 calculator to know the carbon footprint of the waste generated by a passenger during the flight based on the destination and, thus, implement different measures to reduce it.
